Jewellery Making Workshops

Looking for a fun, creative, social experience and to try your hand at making jewellery? I am launching a new series of relaxed jewellery making workshops in Tunbridge Wells in which you can learn how to make your own completely unique silver jewellery using the ancient art of wax carving and lost wax casting.

Whether you already have an idea for a design or plan to create your design at the workshop, you will learn how to make a piece of jewellery from wax, be guided through the various different tools and techniques to carve your jewellery which will then be cast and finished in Sterling Silver (pieces can be gold plated on request for a small fee).

Make a wax carved ring workshop

I am kicking off my workshops with a class on how to create a completely unique, wax carved ring in Sterling Silver. The class covers wax carving tools and techniques, all the materials you need to make your ring, including casting and finishing, as well as drinks and nibbles throughout the class.

By the time you finish the class you will have finished making you ring in wax. Your wax ring will then be sent away for lost wax casting in Birmingham’s famous Jewellery Quarter and returned to you a few weeks later once it has been beautifully finished for you to wear and cherish.

Whether you're a complete beginner or have some prior jewellery making experience, this workshop is perfect for anyone who wants to learn a new skill and create a unique and cherished piece of wearable art.

Where & When

I will be running these workshops at two different locations, Even Flow Cafe on St John’s Rd and The Candle Sanctuary Studio in Pembury. Workshop dates are available from April onwards and each class lasts approximately 2 - 2.5 hours. There a range of dates to choose from including afternoon, evenings and mornings.

How much do they cost

Workshops are £110pp and include a wonderful, creative & social experience, all the tools and materials to create your piece, a drink and some nibbles, as well as a completely unique Sterling Silver ring that you have made!
